I love King Hiram\u2019s response to Solomon when Solomon requests assistance of materials to build the temple. Hiram says, \u201cIt is because the Lord loves his people that he appointed you as king!\u201d (2 Chron 2:11) God knows what we need. His love compels him to provide it. For the people of Isreal, God knew Solomon was the right king to bring peace and to build God\u2019s magnificent house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, more than a beautiful temple, we need a high priest. God loves us so much he provided the perfect high priest as well. 1 John 4:10 says, \u201cThis is love, not that we loved him that he loved us and gave himself for us.\u201d Hebrews 7:26-27 says \u201cJesus is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin.\u201d He does not need to offer sacrifices every day.. for his own sins. He offered himself once for all, for us, for our sins!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God loves us so much that, when we were hopeless to provide for our sin debt, he provided the only possible solution\u2026 Himself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is love, and we owe Him everything. \u201cWe love, because He first loved us!\u201d 1 John 4:19 May God’s love for you motivate you to display and show his love to others this week. This is my prayer for whoever reads this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
