We are grateful for another year of Gods blessings and goodness to us. At this time last year we fully expected that we would be getting ready to return to Senegal in January 2010, the tickets paid for, the house packed up, bags packed and ready to be on our way. It goes to show that you do not know what will happen in a year from now or even in one hour from now. Our lives are completely in Gods hands. The Newboys song, “In the hands of God” is appropriate and I think I will make that my theme song going into the new year.
We will be spending the new year with Deans family for the traditional Hess get together. The family has to hire a fire hall because there are so many of us. It’s always interesting and fun to catch up with everyone. We wish you all a safe and God honoring New Year.
