It’s that time of the week for Kids club for the kids, prayer meeting for Dean and Ladies Bible study for me. I was reminded how much I need to fellowship with other godly women. I really enjoyed the Bible study. Thank you God for your Word and for other believers to encourage me in my faith.

Thursday I awoke with a cold and a terrible sore throat. Dean was unable to work up at New Tribes because of the rain and snow. The van our friends lent us, the brakes went out on it so our friends took it to the shop. The girls were excited about the first snow of the year. Dean took them outside to play in it. There was even enough snow to make a snowman! Dean and I started preparing for our meeting on Sunday. Thank you God for all of our ministry partners.

Friday we continued to prepare for our meeting on Sunday and I, Trudy started studying for my citizenship interview next Wednesday. Our Ford escort station wagon broke down on us so we were without a vehicle altogether. Not to worry after all we can’t forget (the kids won’t let us forget) that Friday night is pizza, chips, ice-cream, popcorn and movie night. The kids watched “Aladdin” and “Pocahontas: Indian princess” (not the Disney versions). We had friends over and they bought yummy OIP pizza. We were not planning to but we ended up sharing our presentation with them and inviting them to join our team. We enjoyed our time together. Praise God for the opportunities He brings our way and the fun friendships we can have with other believers.

Saturday dawned on an overcast, rainy, light snow day. Dean worked on the car but now there is a clicking sound and he does not know what it is. Our friends returned the van, Praise the Lord. I was feeling the cold as well as having a cold. My throat was still sore. Dean was sick too and the kids were showing signs of sickness, especially Levi and Mariah. Thank you God for access to good medical help.

Sunday we dropped Mariah and Levi off at our friends house for the day, then continued on to the church. We had a really good meeting despite my sore throat and us not feeling the best. There was a warm response from the congregation. These folks already support us so we were updating them and showing our appreciation for their partnership with us. Several people expressed heartfelt thanks. We went to our home church next for a pastor appreciation, surprise, anniversary dinner. The food was yummy and it was great to catch up with everyone. After that we visited with Deans brothers family in their new house then headed home. Praise God for friends, family, good food, and the ability to get around pretty much wherever we want to go.

Monday was a nice day. The usual routine, the kids off to school except Levi stayed home from school because he was sick. Dean was unable to go up to New Tribes because of our vehicle problem. I, Trudy continued to study for my citizenship exam. I managed to write three thank you’s and work on some other paperwork in the evening. Thank you God for your trustworthy presence with us all the time through your Holy Spirit.

Tuesday was another nice day. Usually we focus on partnership development on Tuesdays but I had to go and see the lawyer to ask questions about the interview. We did work a little bit on partnership development. Day 28 of 40 days for life, I’m planning to go to the prayer vigil in front of the abortion mill next Tuesday. I continued to study for my citizenship exam. Thank you God for the interview being scheduled so quickly.

Wednesday The cold still lingers on for us but the sore throat is pretty much gone for me. The big day has arrived. To make a long story short it did not go as well as we had hoped for. The final decision has been delayed. We need to produce more paperwork. It was disappointing but we are trusting God and already working on getting the paperwork together. Thank you to everyone who has been praying. Praise God for His grace. Please pray that God will raise up the support we need to return to Senegal. Thank you.

Wednesday Dean worked up at New Tribes.
