Good News
God is faithful and does His perfect work right in the middle of our imperfect lives.
Here at the Missionary Training Center, we have less than half the amount of students we used to have. Also, we are short on funds which has put our multi-purpose building project on hold. In addition, over the course of the last year, each member of our leadership team has left.
The good news, in the midst of any seeming setback, is that the gospel continues to spread throughout the whole world and is bearing fruit and still growing (by its own inherent power).
This same Good News… is going out all over the world.
It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives
With the goal to reach the unreached, NTM is partnering with more and more likeminded entities to enable the gospel to go into parts of the world that are otherwise inaccessible to us. For instance, a Bible school in a country closed to outside missionaries has invited us to come and help train their students in cross-cultural church planting.
Also, New Tribes Mission is becoming more and more international in its personnel and operations. We have training centers in 12 countries around the world. NTM has almost 3,000 missionaries coming from or working in 34 countries.

Lukas understood what Christ did for him and put his trust in him this February. He used to say that he didn’t want to get saved because he didn’t want to get baptized in front of so many people. After his salvation when he heard that our church was going to be baptizing, he wanted to get baptized as well. We didn’t discourage it even though he is still very young. It just seemed like a natural response of his young faith and a step of obedience he wanted to take. Dennis had the privilege of baptizing him. In the background is a video recording of Lukas giving his testimony. Monika’s parents in Germany watched it live online.
Dennis attended an NTM International Trainers Forum in the United Kingdom in February. The purpose was to discuss the coordination and improvement of missionary training in New Tribes. Dennis was able to meet with the Linguistics trainers from the UK training center. It was good to exchange ideas and make sure that we are on the same page.
Dennis is teaching his class and together with the other Linguistics teachers is planning for the future Linguistics course. More changes are coming to the general training and Linguistics classes will be affected by that.
Monika helps a little with the Linguistics course, meets with a local group of preschool moms, does a book/bible study with friends from town and volunteers a little at the boy’s school. The volunteering allows her to see more of Lukas and Niklas. She really enjoys interacting with the other kids at the school as well. She is hoping to organize an event this summer to get the mothers of the area together to exchange ideas and spiritual encouragement regarding raising school age kids. Last year she was able to have a very small and low key event like this and she would like to do it again with some improvement and more help from others. This idea came out of seeing her own need for encouragement in this area.
Thank you so much for your prayers for us!
