We are reading it together as a couple and sometimes with our kids and are being blessed and refreshed by the word of God.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-165\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Lukas-and-Froggy1.jpg\" alt=\"Lukas and Froggy\" width=\"191\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Lukas-and-Froggy1.jpg 319w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Lukas-and-Froggy1-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Lukas-and-Froggy1-73x110.jpg 73w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Lukas-and-Froggy1-166x250.jpg 166w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">\u25b2 Froggy and Mr. Elephant can\u2019t speak German, and Lukas is learning <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">that he should speak only English to his Mommy when they are around. <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">We want Lukas to learn to be considerate and polite to the people <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">we are with by speaking their language. Role playing with his toys <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">at home helps Lukas ease into the concept. We are thankful to the <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Lord that Lukas seems to be able to switch from speaking to his <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Mama in German to speaking to his Mommy in English depending on <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">the situation.<\/span><\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-164 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Niklas-will-Pilot-werden1.jpg\" alt=\"Niklas will Pilot werden\" width=\"265\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Niklas-will-Pilot-werden1.jpg 442w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Niklas-will-Pilot-werden1-276x300.jpg 276w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Niklas-will-Pilot-werden1-101x110.jpg 101w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dennis-farthing\/files\/2010\/06\/Niklas-will-Pilot-werden1-230x250.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 265px) 100vw, 265px\" \/><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">\u25b2 Niklas keeps telling us that he wants to be a pilot some day.<\/span><\/pre>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #808080\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #808080\">Laborers needed<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Would you pray with us for more workers please? Jesus said: \u201cThe laborers are few\u201d.\u00a0 With the desire to raise up more workers, New Tribes Mission participated in the Crossover Christian Music Festival here near the training center.\u00a0 We provided speakers, camping sites and a few activities including the \u201cWayumi\u201d Experience.\u00a0 The 125 people who participated in \u201cWayumi\u201d were given a 1 \u00bd hour introduction to tribal missions which included\u00a0a \u201cBrazilian\u201d boat ride, a trip to a market, meeting \u201ctribal\u201d people in a village, and a missions challenge.\u00a0 We are praying that the Lord would send forth more laborers through this experience.<\/p>\n<p>Even in the Linguistics department we are painfully aware of the lack of workers. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed with the many changes we feel like we need to do to keep the course up to date and useful for the students. For example all our material needs to be changed over to the international phonetic alphabet (from the americanist phonetic alphabet) by mid August when the new semester starts.\u00a0 It is \u201clike changing a tire on a moving vehicle\u201d since we can\u2019t just stop teaching classes until we have made all the changes. This summer break is the time to try to get everything done well, before the new semester starts.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">\u201cAll Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness\u201d 2.Tim.3:16\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our church challenged its members to read through the New Testament in 11 weeks over this summer.
