A common way of life here is having the power go off pretty consistently. It is just part of life. Sometimes it will come right back on in 10 minutes and sometimes it will be off for 12 hours. We had been blessed with having a generator in order to do our jobs as well as have some comfort in the blazing heat with the fans in our houses. But unfortunately, the generator we had was on its \u201clast leg\u201d.<\/p>\n

Our old generator was made in the 1950\u2019s and was a very well made product! We had to manually start it and I have logged many hours trying to get it going. But praise the Lord, this last week God provided a new one that we are so thankful for!<\/p>\n

Thankfully, a mission organization, called Itec, came from the US with all their expertise to install it! They were a group of people from all over the USA who worked in electricity. They even paid their own airfare to get here.\u00a0 And boy did they work! They were such a blessing and we are so thankful they came to put this all together!<\/p>\n

So for a few weeks our center has had holes and trenches dug every which way, in order to lay the new wires and pipes. \u00a0Of course, our kids thought the extra piles of dirt were great fun for jumping and hopping.\u00a0 They also found some treasures in the dirt \u2013 fossilized shells!!<\/p>\n

Our new generator works like a charm (and built just last year) and when the power goes off, the genie automatically kicks in! We are so blessed to have it!<\/p>\n
