{"id":31,"date":"2008-03-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-07T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-03-29T22:37:04","modified_gmt":"2017-03-30T02:37:04","slug":"winter-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/2008\/03\/07\/winter-weather\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter Weather"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, the Lord has granted us safe travels and good times of fellowship with friends, family, and supporting churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, and now in Ohio too. The day we traveled from Missouri to Ohio, a winter storm turned what should have been a 10-hour trip into 17 hours of slow going on slippery roads. We arrived at about 2:30 in the morning, tired but safe. Areli and Galilee were real troopers during all the long hours of sitting in their car seats.<br \/>\n<!--StartImportThumbnail--><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/files\/2008\/03\/1823_34035.jpg\" rel=\"thumbnail\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-104\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 5px; border: 0.5pt solid #BCC4C8;\" title=\"First experiences in snow\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/files\/2008\/03\/1823_34035.jpg\" alt=\"First experiences in snow\" width=\"150\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportThumbnail--><br \/>\nWe had about a week and a half to spend with DJ\u2019s parents before they left to return to Asia\u00a0on March 4. We miss them. We\u2019ll be staying here in their house in Ohio all this month. Today we\u2019re very thankful for the warm house because another snow storm is blowing outside.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a look at our schedule for the next few months:<\/p>\n<p>March 22-24\u2014Trip to Indiana to share in a church<\/p>\n<p>April 2-21\u2014Travel back down to south Texas from Ohio, with stops to visit friends and share in churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and north Texas<\/p>\n<p>June 14\u2014baby boy Searcy\u2019s due date<\/p>\n<p>August 3\u2014return to\u00a0Asia Pacific<\/p>\n<p>Please pray for:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Areli &amp; Galilee to feel secure in our love, and to start understanding God\u2019s love for them too. They\u2019ve been taking all the traveling pretty well, but sometimes their insecurity does manifest itself. They often ask, \u201cWhere do we live?\u201d Some days they get very clingy too. If I just get up to go in the next room, they\u2019ll run after me crying and saying, \u201cWait for me!
