{"id":353,"date":"2017-02-16T20:48:56","date_gmt":"2017-02-17T01:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/?p=353"},"modified":"2017-02-16T20:48:56","modified_gmt":"2017-02-17T01:48:56","slug":"pray-for-laborers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/2017\/02\/16\/pray-for-laborers\/","title":{"rendered":"Pray for Laborers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-354 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/files\/2017\/02\/DSCN3704-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/files\/2017\/02\/DSCN3704-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/files\/2017\/02\/DSCN3704-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dj-searcy\/files\/2017\/02\/DSCN3704-600x450.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>How has the first month and a half of 2017 been for you?\u00a0 We\u2019d love to know how we can pray for you this year.\u00a0 Drop us a line if you have a minute.<\/p>\n<p>This month we consultants (Jennifer and our coworker Greg) got to give a stage 3 language evaluation.\u00a0 Since our new families usually only spend their first year of language and culture study here before moving on to their future region of service, we normally only deal with stage 1 and 2 evaluations.\u00a0 We have given a few other stage 3\u2019s, but not very many.\u00a0 So we needed to spend some extra time researching, looking at examples, and deciding which tasks to assign.\u00a0 It was a really good learning experience for us, and we got to work closely with a young national lady who often helps our families with their language and culture study.\u00a0 She shows a lot of aptitude to help with consulting jobs too.<\/p>\n<p>The family who just had their stage 3 evaluations are also planning to finish stage 4 here before moving to another region where the husband will be flying airplanes to support missionaries in remote villages.\u00a0 So we\u2019ll get to give them their stage 4 evaluations (we\u2019ve done even fewer of those) in May before they move.<\/p>\n<p>Right now we only have 4 families and one single lady here studying.\u00a0 One family and the single will be moving in March, another family in May, another possibly in the late summer or early fall, and the final family may be here for another year and a half or more.\u00a0 You may remember that for most of the time we\u2019ve been here we\u2019ve had anywhere between 12 and 18 families here at a time, so this feels like quite a small group.\u00a0 We are not sure yet if we will be getting more new families late this year or early next year.\u00a0 Please join us in praying for the Lord to raise up more laborers for this part of His harvest field.<\/p>\n<p>Today and tomorrow DJ is in school board meetings for the Christian school that our kids and our coworkers\u2019 kids attend here.\u00a0 Pray that the board will have clarity in everything they discuss and the decisions they make.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you so much for praying for and supporting us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How has the first month and a half of 2017 been for you?\u00a0 We\u2019d love to know how we can pray for you this year.\u00a0 Drop us a line if you have a minute.
