Thank you so much for your prayers for us as we\u2019ve navigated through the process of planning for a medical procedure in a country where we have no experience with the medical system (or anything else, for that matter!)\u00a0 We have seen the Lord\u2019s leading and provision through His people, and we are so thankful.<\/p>\n
Here is DJ\u2019s schedule for his medical trip:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
July 13th \u2013 fly to Perth, Australia.<\/p>\n
July 14th \u2013 7:45am Mohs surgery and skin graft in Perth.<\/p>\n
July 15th-21st\u00a0 \u2013 out-patient wound care in Perth.<\/p>\n
July 22nd – 8pm flight back to Asia Pacific.\u00a0 Overnight at the port of entry.<\/p>\n
July 23rd – 7am flight back to our island.<\/p>\n
DJ\u2019s tickets are booked, and one of our supporters gave a gift that covered most of his round trip flight costs.\u00a0 Thank you so much!\u00a0 We are amazed.\u00a0 While we will still file with insurance, our high deductible means that we will be paying for most if not all of the surgery and post-op care ourselves.\u00a0 Please continue to pray for the Lord\u2019s provision of those funds.<\/p>\n
Due to flight costs, my teaching schedule, and the difficulty of leaving our children for that long, I will not be traveling with DJ.\u00a0 We are thankful that friends of friends have opened their home for him to stay in while he is in Perth.\u00a0 That\u2019s another huge answer to prayer!\u00a0 Our main concern now is that he won\u2019t have anyone to check on him and make sure he has what he needs in the first couple days after his surgery (the surgery is an out-patient procedure, and the home he\u2019ll be staying in is mostly empty right now except for one person who works long hours.)\u00a0 So please pray that his recovery will go very smoothly and he\u2019ll\u00a0 have everything he needs on hand so he can just rest for the first few days.<\/p>\n
