Thanks so much for praying for our journey from Asia\nPacific back to Texas for our home assignment. \nWe arrived in Los Angeles after about 25 hours of travel and were\nblessed to spend the night at DJ’s cousin Audrey’s house and get some sleep\nbefore continuing on our last flight to San Antonio the next morning.  My dad picked us up in San Antonio and drove\nus the last 2 hours home.  It was wonderful\nto be reunited with family and have a meal at the picnic table under the oak\ntrees together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then we’ve been getting our house set up, swimming\nin the river almost every day, spending time with family, and continuing our\npreparations for our two-month trip to visit as many of you as we can.  We’d appreciate your prayers that we can get\neverything together in time, and for the needed finances to cover fuel, etc.\nfor the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praise the Lord with us that our children have been\naccepted to attend a charter school here in our area this fall.  We pray that they’ll make friends quickly,\nadjust academically, and get the help that they each need for their learning\ndifferences.  They are all three enjoying\nbeing in Texas and spending time outside, but they are also feeling unsettled\nand unsure of where they fit in as third culture kids returning to their\n“home” culture which is in many ways foreign to them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
