I (Jennifer) have been cooking in our cabin kitchen for a month now.\u00a0 I even got to use my new kitchen to make Thanksgiving dinner for us, my dad & stepmom, my brother and his family, and my sister (though we did all eat over at my dad\u2019s place since I\u2019m not sure we would have fit in the cabin!)\u00a0 We\u2019re very thankful for the family time, and for the Lord\u2019s continued provision as we settle in here.\u00a0 We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re also thankful beyond words that Galilee has shown more signs of improvement in the past week. \u00a0For 4 or 5 days in a row she was able to be up from noon until bedtime, and most of those days she was thinking clearly and not in pain.\u00a0 She spent some time hanging out with her siblings and the rest of us, which is a huge change as she would usually not be able to handle that kind of extended human interaction even if she was awake.\u00a0 The progress continues to be in stops and starts and of course not as fast as we would prefer, but we are still so thankful for every bit of it.\u00a0 The dosage of her new medication was just upped again, and she seems to be handling that well.\u00a0 Next week the neurologist wants us to start trying to taper off her first medication and see how she tolerates that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to all who prayed for a clear connection and clear communication during the stage 2 kick-off that I taught via video call.\u00a0 Our internet here in the rural Texas hill country is often not fast enough to support calls like that, but it was miraculously good that evening, and the kick-off seemed to go very well.\u00a0 Lord willing, I\u2019ll be connecting with a coworker on the other side of the world this Saturday evening (my time) via Skype to talk about some evaluation results and then teaching another virtual kick-off (stage 3 this time) to 4 people Sunday morning.\u00a0 So you can pray again if you think of it during those times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DJ recently got a job description from soon-to-be coworkers in our mission\u2019s IT department, detailing what his responsibilities will be as network administrator.\u00a0 He\u2019ll start learning that job next month, as well as preparing for and leading school board meetings for the kids\u2019 former school in Asia Pacific.\u00a0 He continues on with projects on the cabin such as installing a mini-split AC & heat system, adding trim to doorways, putting up skirting to enclose the bottom of the cabin, etc.\u00a0 There always seems to be plenty to do, as I\u2019m sure you all experience in your lives as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
