We were blessed with wonderful rains in September which brought our rivers and creeks back up to their normal levels. The weather then stayed warm enough for us to enjoy swimming, tubing, and time at the river. Just this past week we finally started having some cooler fall temperatures, but the long growing season here means that we are still harvesting garden produce and probably have about another month before frost.

DJ has been managing the wireless network at Ethnos360’s home office in Florida, a job which he is thankful to be able to do remotely from here in Texas. He’s still studying for certifications too. In September I (Jennifer) oversaw 3 evaluations for a team learning a remote interior language. A teammate who is still in Asia Pacific was able to travel to the village to give the on-site evaluations and collect recordings, etc. which she then sent to me. I then combed through the recordings and other information, wrote reports, and met with the team to give them their results and tips for continuing on in their language and culture studies. Since then I have been working on some Powerpoint presentations with video to be shown at meetings next month introducing some aspects of the new culture & language learning curriculum we’ve been working on. Most of my teammates on this project will be traveling to the meetings in person, but a couple of us who can’t will be preparing video presentations instead. I’d appreciate prayers as I finish those up in the next couple of weeks.

We are thankful for your prayers for the kids’ health and schooling too. Things are going pretty well for them overall. Galilee still has migraines, and some of her aura (other symptoms that go along with the pain of the migraines) have started to return a bit the past month or so. She’s still doing much better than she was last year, but we’re praying that the aura will go away again or at least not get any worse. Areli’s senior year is keeping her busy, and she’s starting to work on preparations for going into a nursing program at our nearest community college after she graduates. Tyndale is following in Areli’s footsteps and has joined FFA now that he is a freshman. His first competition was this weekend.

Thank you again so much for all of your prayers and support.
