We remember many Thanksgivings far from our earthly home and family, living in cultures with different holidays and traditions. We are thankful for all the memories of good friends who accepted and loved us despite our cultural differences and helped us to learn new ways to celebrate and give thanks. We are thankful for all the ways the Lord continues to work and the hearts He continues to reach on that side of the world and this side too. And we are thankful for the privilege, which we will never take for granted again, of celebrating Thanksgiving here in Texas with this family the Lord has blessed us with.

Galilee’s migraines are continuing to decrease, except that they are as usual being affected by our weather patterns this time of year. A number of us have noticed through the years that we tend to get stronger migraines right before a cold front blows in, and unfortunately Galilee is no exception to that. Still, we praise the Lord for the overall trend in the right direction. I’ve recently been finishing some more edits to the Culture & Language Acquisition Activities book, and I met virtually with two more members of the team back in Asia Pacific to help them get started into Stage 4 (the final stage!) of their language and culture studies. In December I’ll meet with two more team members to get them started in Stage 4 as well.
