To all our wonderful friends and partners in this great work,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cheryl and I want to thank you for allowing us to travel down the road finding folks to be a part of the Lord’s work in reaching remote language and ethnic groups where the gospel of the grace of God has not been presented. \u00a0We count it a privilege to interact with folks who are interested in this work and want to invest in their lives to help them see the reality of what they will be facing and the rewards of having completed the goal of seeing indigenous churches being brought to maturity.<\/p>\n

You know, at our age, many ask us about our retirement.\u00a0 <\/span>I remember the words of Art Carney, famous comedian and actor on the Honeymooners being asked that question also.\u00a0 <\/span>He said that being retired is just being tired twice.\u00a0 <\/span>First you are tired of working, then you are tired of not working.\u00a0 <\/span>We can say that we have been exhausted, but never tired of the work that we are doing.\u00a0 <\/span>To invest in others to see them count for Jesus Christ is the greatest privilege one can have this side of Heaven.\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t think either of us would have it any other way.\u00a0 <\/span>Like I tell the young friends we meet on the road, \u201cKeep pressing on and keep the faith.\u00a0 <\/span>He is worth it.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I pray that many more will see that this world is not our home; just the place we are renting out until our Mansion is finished.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ministry
\n<\/span><\/h1>\n

In the month of March, I traveled almost 6,000 miles. \u00a0My actual distance was about 300 miles short of driving from Central Park in New York City to San Diego and back to Central Park. \u00a0Lots of miles but very good. \u00a0Several families have signed up to start the training in the Fall and more are coming in. \u00a0It has been a very good year so far, as far as interested laborers are concerned. \u00a0It might be good to explain where I have been with a map below to let you “see” where I have been.
\nThe blue lines<\/span><\/span> and arrows are the month of February. \u00a0The red<\/span> ones are March.<\/p>\n

I started out my February (blue)<\/span> traveling to:

\nOklahoma City\u00a0– Perspectives
\nMcNeal, AZ – NTM Aviation Expo
\nHarrison, AR\u00a0– Perspectives
\nTulsa – Tulsa Bible Church Mission Exposure
\nThen I started my long trip.<\/p>\n

The month of March (red)<\/span> I traveled to:

\nLittle Rock, AR – Possible Candidates
\nConway, AR – Alex & Anna Nobles
\nWaukesha, WI – NTBI
\nConway, AR – Central Baptist College
\nAda, OK – Possible Candidates
\nWarsaw, IN – Wilsons
\nJackson, MI – NTBI
\nChicago, IL – Logos Baptist Church
\nKankakee, IL – Carmicals (good reps and friends)
\nIndianapolis, IN – Possible candidate
\nDeerfield, IL – Trinity Seminary
\nDes Moines, IA – Baughers<\/p>\n

Finally I came back to Wichita\u00a0only to take off two days later for:
\nBurleson, TX –\u00a0Perspectives
\nFort Worth\u00a0– Perspectives
\nNorth Richland Hills, TX – Perspectives<\/p>\n

During that time I stopped off to visit my daughter in Mesquite, TX and stop by two churches (Northside Baptist Church & Woodlake Baptist Church) to visit the pastors. \u00a0I am exhausted but completely refreshed at the same time.<\/p>\n

Continue to pray for more laborers to reach those who have no chance to hear unless someone goes and tells them.<\/p>\n

Family<\/span><\/h2>\n

Since our last letter, we have become proud grandparents again. \u00a0Joel and Katie had a son, Benjamin, and he is doing well. \u00a0Cheryl takes care of the grandkids a couple of days a week and it is nice to know that we have input in their lives. \u00a0We are very grateful to have the children we do and for what they mean to us.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

News from Solong<\/span><\/h2>\n

Since our last letter, something wonderful has happened in the Solong language group, the people we worked with in Papua New Guinea. \u00a0They have received their brand new printed New Testament. \u00a0Paul and Robina Wolff have labored in this process for many years and now the folks have God’s Word in their language in a complete form. \u00a0They have always had printed portions and books of the NT but now they have all of the NT in one book, AND it is a waterproof Bible. \u00a0That’s right, waterproof. \u00a0You could drop it into the ocean or a lake and come back a few months later, pick it up and start reading from it like it was brand new. \u00a0New technology allow for this. \u00a0In any event, we want to say thanks to the Wolffs for pressing on to see this accomplished.<\/p>\n

Take care, friends. \u00a0We continue to press on ourselves trying to find more laborers to reach those who have never heard. \u00a0Please pray that the Lord will continue to direct us to those who would be interested in this type of work and that we would never grow weary of this task. \u00a0We sure haven’t yet, thanks to you and the Lord.<\/p>\n
