font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">What a first six months this year has been<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Cheryl and I cannot thank you all enough for your prayers these past six months. \u00a0A lot has happened to us and we are thankful for how it has turned out. \u00a0The Lord has seen fit to use broken vessels to carry on His work and we just get to be a little more broken than we were before for which He will get all the honor due His name.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #751115;\">Ministry News<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After completing our tax returns, I noticed that I had been on the road a total of 162 days last year. \u00a0That is 44% of my time was away from home. \u00a0It was very profitable and folks are coming into the training to reach those who have never heard. \u00a0Thanks, Lord!<\/p>\n<p>This year started out with a long trip to Ohio and then having open heart surgery at the end of January. \u00a0That kind of put us on a different schedule for awhile but thank the Lord, it has been good. \u00a0I had to rest up for the next month but in March, we started work again. \u00a0Not too much, though.<\/p>\n<p>In March I was able to go to Dallas for a week, teach some Perspectives classes in Kansas, head to Wyoming to share for a few days and teach some Sunday School classes at church.<\/p>\n<p>In April, I was able to go to Tulsa, our Missionary Training Center in Missouri and teach Perspectives in Texas and Kansas.<\/p>\n<p>In May, I traveled to Texas again and flew to Alaska to share with some missionaries working with native folks in remote villages and towns. \u00a0Once again, I saw some committed folks who endure hardships for the gospel&#8217;s sake.<\/p>\n<p>This month, June, we have been able to rest a bit. \u00a0Teaching Sunday School, getting ready for our church&#8217;s mission conference and getting caught up on\u00a0household duties which my lethargy postponed have been keeping me busy. \u00a0Glad to get caught up on everything.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"secondary-heading\" style=\"color: #751115;\">Medical News<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-906\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/doug-schaible\/files\/2015\/06\/IMG_0015-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0015\" width=\"156\" height=\"208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/doug-schaible\/files\/2015\/06\/IMG_0015-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/doug-schaible\/files\/2015\/06\/IMG_0015-600x800.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/doug-schaible\/files\/2015\/06\/IMG_0015.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 156px) 100vw, 156px\" \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We both are pretty healthy now. \u00a0For some reason, after the surgery I seemed to be pretty lethargic. \u00a0I was walking and trying to exercise and everything but I just did not have a desire to do much. \u00a0I know that our schedule doesn&#8217;t show that but I know how I was feeling. \u00a0But here lately, I have felt like that energy come back and have been able to get things done and had the motivation to do so.<\/p>\n<p>My wife has always had it. \u00a0She gets up every day and starts walking, doing all that she does to take care of grandchildren, be a homemaker, and\u00a0doing all that you women know that you do and then finishes the day by walking again and reading. \u00a0I am amazed. \u00a0All in all I would say that we are doing well. \u00a0Thanks for your prayers.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #751115; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Family News<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Our daughter has just received a promotion to go to Mesquite, TX to be the general manager of an On The Border restaurant. \u00a0Obviously, this will mean that she is moving away from family but it is a career advancement opportunity for her. \u00a0Please pray for her to sell her house, have a smooth transition and that she would find a good church and friends for her to fellowship with. \u00a0Thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Our oldest son and his wife are going to have another baby. \u00a0They will have a son and the expected birth date is Oct. 22 which is our daughter&#8217;s birthday. \u00a0Hope it works out.<\/p>\n<p>Our last son is going to be helping open up another store where he works. \u00a0Once again, it will be busy and a challenge.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #751115; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Pressing On<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We still have camp and another mission conference to attend this summer and I am also teaching Galatians at church this Summer and in the Fall. \u00a0I have so enjoyed getting into this book again. \u00a0Being reminded that we walk by faith and not by sight is so\u00a0invigorating\u00a0to me. \u00a0Galatians 1:4 gives us the reason for this book. \u00a0&#8220;&#8230;he (Christ) gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us from this present, evil world (or age). \u00a0We no longer have to live under the Adamic world system anymore. \u00a0We can live in the heavenly realms with God, our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, WHILE ON EARTH. \u00a0Amen!<\/p>\n<p>May the Lord bless you all as you labor for Him. \u00a0Please pray that we will find more laborers who would like to reach tribal people with the hope that is only provided in the finished work of Jesus Christ. \u00a0May He be honored as we do so.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Secure In Him,<br \/>\nDoug &amp;
