Following that, I traveled to La Grange, WY to Frontier School of the Bible for their mission conference, and just returned from Broken Bow Berean Church (NE) where I attended their mission conference. What a wonderful time to spend with folks. I traveled to Owasso, OK to teach Perspectives. We then traveled to Chisholm Trail Bible Church (Goessel, KS), one of our ministry partners, that has always been there for us. We appreciate them so much.

This next month, March, finds Cheryl and I traveling to Plattsmouth, NE to be involved in a mission conference. The next day I have to be at Dallas Seminary’s annual WEC Week mission conference. This will complete the month of March’s scheduled meetings, but I need to make a trip to Wisconsin and Chicago to visit some prospective students. Please pray with us that the Lord will allow us to encourage people on for His name’s sake.

An Opportunity this Summer

As a representative/mobilizer/recruiter for NTM, it is our privilege to visit people in all kinds of venues. Colleges, churches, visiting with families of missionaries, conferences, etc. are some of the opportunities we have to challenge and encourage people in the great task of reaching the unreached. Another opportunity is to visit our foreign fields. NTM would like the mobilization representatives to visit our missionaries overseas every 4-5 years. It has been 9 years since my last trip overseas. Thus, we are considering that it is about time to do so again.

I (Doug) would like to visit Papua New Guinea leaving in late July and returning mid-August. I would be visiting some of the families whose lives we have invested in with you to reach those who have never heard. I also would be visiting our Interface Campus to encourage potential missionaries who are getting a vision for seeing indigenous churches brought to maturity. There would be many opportunities to be a challenge and encouragement, and to be challenged and encouraged as well.

In order to accomplish this trip, it is going to take us in the neighborhood of $5,000.00 to fly round trip and travel in the country. We are trusting the Lord for the finances and if you would like to help make this trip possible, we would appreciate any prayers and donations toward this project. If through prayerful consideration God is leading you to give financially, please make the donation by check or online.

If by check, make it payable to New Tribes Mission and attach a note that states: “Doug Schaible trip to PNG”.

Send it to:
New Tribes Mission
1000 E First St
Sanford, FL 32771

You can also give by credit card or EFT. If you would prefer to do that over the phone rather than online, call our NTM USA HQ at (866) 547-2460, ext. 1245.
