With 26,000 kms behind us since leaving the Missionary Training Center in Durham, Ontario six months ago my life has become a constant stream of short visits with friends, old and new. The at times melancholy feelings of homeless life on the road are eased by the joy of seeing people along the way, and the fellowship around the things that I am passionate about: bringing the gospel to unreached language groups. We continue moving forward for the sake of the Gospel. It brings to mind this tune from my childhood. Maybe you’ll recognize it.
There’s a voice that keeps on calling me
Down the road, that’s where I’ll always be.
Every stop I make, I make a new friend,
Can’t stay for long, just turn around and I’m gone again
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want to settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.
Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home.
