Last day as a 30-something

July 21, 2012 by Nadia Hattingh

Yesterday was my last day as a Thirty-something! Where did the last 10 years go?

10 years ago, I was a new mom to our youngest son who was born in June that year. We lived in the central part of the country and worked with local churches to train pre-school teachers and do community development.

Ten years ago we heard for the first time that New Tribes was a mission and we prayed about joining them to work under the unreached people groups in the north of the country.

In the last 10 years, we moved went back to our passport country (RSA) for further training and thereafter to England to complete our NTM training.

We joined NTM!

We moved to the north of the country… had our NTM orientation in the city and moved into a village a few months later.

Ten years ago, we did not know about the Mwinika people and they have not heard the Truth about Jesus yet. Now, they are our friends and neighbours! How we love to be here…

What a privilege to live under the Mwinika and see a new church being born. We have front seats in a historical event that will have eternal consequences… And you, through your prayer and support is PART of it!

Thank you Father for these precious last 10 years.
