We praise the Lord for the BUV (Basic Utility Vehicle), sponsored by a group from the States, that will be used as a local ambulance, taking sick Mwinika to and from the clinic and hospital! It has 3 wheels, two in the back and one in front with a motorcycle engine! In the back are two benches that can transport about 6 adults at a time. This vehicle will save us hours of time and other resources – since we have been doing all the hospital runs or treat our neighbours ourselves! This will bring a total change in the availability of treatment for the Mwinika people! Pray for the right person/s to be trained as a driver and the whole running of his project.
At first, a supporter was to drive up with us to transport the BUV on a trailer. However, praise the Lord, the BUV was temporarily converted into a trailer (see photo) and can now be trailed up ourselves! Many hours, many miles and many money (:)) will be saved this way!
Please pray for our return trip, especially for the borders. Because of bad flooding in the southern part of the country where we minister, we will be returning via yet another African country which implies two border crossings. Pray especially for the importation of the BUV ambulance. Pray for a safe trip, good health, strength and those first days after returning and making our house home again.
