One of the most rewarding things for us, is to see our children growing in their witness and friendships. We praise God that our kids are so happy and at home here.
Heidi with her friends at the Bible teaching.
Franco looking through nature books with his friends before the teaching started.
Waldo and Mwinika kids that also came to the teaching this week.
Waldo with his friends after a soccer game. Most of these little guys are coming to the teaching. Franco’s prayer tonight was: “Lord, let our friends who are sitting around us at the teaching continue to come. Please let them come not just for the thrill of the moment, but because they want to listen and hear more.” Amen!
Heidi has become fast friends with four little girls in our area. In the afternoons she has been picking mushrooms and cooking it with them over an open fire, finally “getting” how to pound dried cassava root into a flour, playing games and just being silly! Here they are after playing “make-over” one afternoon :).
Waldo and Mom on our way to the Literacy class Wednesday afternoon. It was the first time we went so far on the quad bike. I arrived there with my right hand cramping, hair windblown and eyes watering from 30 minutes of constant wind in my face :-). Waldo didn’t know if he wanted to do THAT again! However on the way back was easier – we both got used to it and since then have done it again! (I took turns going to the Bible teaching and Literacy classes this week.)
