Stretching forward to the things which are before…

July 10, 2013 by Nadia Hattingh

After many hours, days and months we finally reached the last two weeks of the Literacy course!

Thank you for your prayers for the 8 men, women and young boy who are learning to read and write in their own language. The group was a challenge in many ways, one of which the distance I had to travel far on a bad road to get to them. It seems that two students will not finish the course and will therefore have to re-do the course at a later stage. Abar, the young Mwinika teacher, is doing well and his diligence to continue under difficult circumstances is a true testimony of God’s grace.

Saturday 20 July (my birthday :)) will be the day for the certificate ceremony. Much need to be readied and put in place for this big day – your prayers will be appreciated. We are expecting two men, one with his family, from our NTM field leadership to be visiting then and the students are especially excited to have such “important” guests here when they receive their certificates.

May the literacy students finish this race well…
