Cyclone passed, but still very wet

January 26, 2012 by Nadia Hattingh

#1 The road to our house

From the news we are getting, there is some damage to houses in our neighbourhood and some collapsed. A friend of ours’ house collapsed completely. Please pray for our Mwinika friends, as they struggle to survived during this time while it is still too wet to rebuild. Rain continues, but the cyclone passed.

Our house is fine, but one of our office/school buildings is very wet (and built with unburned bricks…). Pray that it will stay standing! We may have to rebuild on our return since this building has already some damage from termites.
