\"\"<\/a>I was 8 years old when my mom was diagnosed with cancer for the first time. Three months before, she shared with us the Gospel in such a way that I understood for the first time: when I believe, my sins are paid for and I am a child of God! I was very aware of my sin and gladly accepted Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. During this time of my mom\u2019s sickness, I experienced the Lord\u2019s presence and comfort for the first time I learned then, as I am learning now, that suffering has a purpose for those who belong to God. True living means to die to \u201cself\u201d and surrender to Him.<\/p>\n

My dream was to live and die in the same place. I could not imagine anything worse than to move house often… When I heard the Lord calling me into missions at the end of my 2nd year at university, this was where my struggle laid. However, an indescribable peace and sense of security – not in earthly \u201cstuff\u201d but in the Lord – took hold of me as I placed myself into His hands to go where-ever He wants to send me. Now, on the field, I am continuing to learn the freedom of surrender. In the last years my declining health and difficulties to diagnose a rare syndrome, was a particular test in brokenness and faith. However, my Father is true and faithful! I am convinced of His love for me – as for every single human being on this planet of ours. What a privilege to serve Him!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
