She does not only confess with her mouth that He is Lord, but she lives out Christ’s love in a most practical and tangible way. May we all learn to BE Christ to the people around us more and more as we grow in dependence on Him.

Nadia’s mom left on Sunday and we already miss her greatly! I don’t think that I would have been able to stay on the field, if it was not for my mom’s sacrifice in coming to help us out for these last 4 weeks.

I am doing much better (after the malaria), but still need to take it pretty easy and rest as much as I can. I have one week complete rest left and after that I can start to get back into the work little by little. Pray for patience, as I find it harder these days to keep still and rest enough!

Pray for Francois and the kids that have to learn to do many things on their own since I am not able to pull my full weight. In this too we see the Lord’s grace: the more responsibility the kids are taking in the house and with their home schooling, the more motivated they are. It is also heart warming to see them pulling together, supporting and encouraging each other in their different tasks.

We again see the difference in the Lord’s economics: what we think is a disaster, the Lord uses for our best! We are also learning that difficulty is not bad for ourselves and our kids. In fact, it often is the means by which the Lord shows us His love and power the most!

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures… Often these “green pastures” look totally different from what we could imagine!

Nadia’s mom left on Sunday and we already miss her greatly!
