We can&#8217;t imagine her in a city set-up&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>If she&#8217;s not up a tree (big, tall ones!), she is digging up remains in her and her brothers&#8217; &#8220;archaeological&#8221; site.  Where other little girls may be collecting stickers and nice clothes, she is collecting insects and small animal skeletons.  Recently we killed a huge iguana (a lizard over half a meter long), and she enthusiastically dissected it, finding all the organs we are learning about in Biology&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>On this picture she is posing with a scorpion she killed herself- calmly and without drama.  Were her two brothers impressed!  She waited until we finished with our conversation and then told without making a big fuss that she killed this silly scorpion &#8220;who kept on following me, so I squashed it.&#8221;  Her brothers were not the only ones impressed &#8230; especially after seeing the &#8220;silly squashed scorpion&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the creepies don\u2019t take to being looked at and handled too well&#8230; Once she was bitten by a spider &#8211; it didn&#8217;t like its house disturbed by Heidi&#8230; She was just curious to see how it all fits together and says she meant it no harm!<\/p>\n<p>Tonight she was bitten by a small scorpion &#8211; and cried bitterly.  She thought it was a cockroach and was again on a squashing mission.  Some scorpions here are quite poisonous and may even kill a small child.  However, she left the battle scene with only a burning, red finger.
