Greetings. We greatly appreciate those who have given to the TB project which has enabled us to make a start on helping people who may have TB. It can be difficult because both pneumonia and ulcer symptoms are very similar to TB symptoms. A few have been x-rayed. One defiantly has TB, one has a stomach ulcer and two have pneumonia. Their going for x-rays caught the attention of the government health workers who have now said that they will send a team to our village to do a sputum test for TB on everyone here. Sputum tests are not very accurate so there can be people who have TB that doesn’t show up in the sputum test but should show up on x-rays. So, until we see how this all works out we are not looking for more funds now for the TB project. We will just have to wait and see how it goes, and if we find that we need more funds we will make the need known.
If anyone happens to have some cash they don’t know what to do with we are short of funds for having Bible lesson books xeroxed. It will take at least 32,000 sheets of paper copied front and back! And the way the Lord has been raising up new Manubu’ Bible teachers it could end up being more than that!
We thank the Lord for the strength He has been giving us as we press on with final revision of the 65 lessons of the first two phases of the Manubu’ Bible teaching program. We only have 10 more to go!
As well as putting the Bible lesson revisions in the computer for both dialects we work in and formatting them Carol has been busy editing the New Testament recordings that are being done in both dialects. Won’t it be exciting when the Manubu’ have not only the printed New Testament in their language which we finished in 2011 but also a recording of it! Should be a real blessing especially to those believers who don’t know how to read.
The reason that the Manubu’ churches now have the New Testament in their own language as well as some of the Old Testament as well as about 300 Bible lessons and other teaching material and more to come is because so many have prayed and so many have given financially over many years. Thank you.
