In our last update we said, “Two young men visiting the Philippines from England will be coming to us and one of them is an expert at shooting and editing videos.” Ric, the video guy, and Dom, his friend, did come and there is now a video of our ministry here among the Manubu’ people for you to view.
Filming the video didn’t take long. Putting the pieces together, to even out the sound level, and do other editing took days (and nights) of hard work. Sometimes Ric would become “brain dead” so Dom would take over and do some initial editing for him. We thank the Lord for these two guys who were willing to put their all into producing a video for us.
While Ric and Dom were here they celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with us. Carol made a cake with cream cheese (from a jar) frosting. Yum!
The last time we were in the city we hired a taxi to take a load of Bible lesson copies and supplies (and us) the two hours back to our mission guest house. The driver, Vincent, was very open to listening to an explanation of the gospel. He said that he would have to tell it to his wife. He said he likes to read and readily took a copy of the “Stranger on the Road to Emmaus” book which presents the Good News starting at Genesis 1:1 and on through the OT types to the ascension of Christ – just like the evangelistic phase of our chronological teaching program does. Please PRAY that Vincent and his whole family will be saved.
We pray that you will be encouraged by the video as we have been encouraged by all that God has done and is doing among the Manubu’ people.
