We know of four outreaches being done by one lowland Manubu’ church, at least two outreaches being done by another Manubu’ church, and evangelistic teaching is being done in most of the villages where there are Manubu’ churches including our village. There could be a number of outreaches we don’t know about.
Please PRAY that all those listening would be saved and go on for the Lord. Also PRAY for strength and endurance and faithfulness for the Manubu’ Bible teachers who have committed themselves to the outreaches.
For the past few years the Manubu’ young people group in the church here in our village has been growing corn, rice, and vegetables. Not just little patches of ground, but big fields for the corn and rice. They use the harvests to help people in need of food and also sell corn and rice and help Bible teachers, believers visiting from other Manubu’ churches, and others in need with the proceeds. And three of those young men have been teaching the evangelistic phases of the teaching program! Please PRAY for lifelong commitment to Lord by these wonderful young people.
Plus, the Manubu’ church in our village is as a group doing the same thing. Both groups have a work day about once a week to take care of the farms. That’s encouraging!
Lord willing, in early November all forty Manubu’ Bible teachers will come to our village for a seminar. We have heard that many of the Bible teachers have questions because there are “good works for eternal salvation” churches nearby or moving into their villages, and they are being bombarded with all kinds of doctrines with scripture quoted out of context from Bibles in the language of the people in the towns and cities. The teachers want to make sure they understand the truth and especially how to answer from the scriptures. A major theme of the seminar will be the need to be constantly studying God’s Word. Please PRAY for a profitable seminar.
Progress is being made on the helicopter for our island that we mentioned in our last update. The rebuild, painting, and some hours flying it to break it in after the rebuild should be completed soon. Then it will be dismantled and crated for shipping to arrive here on our island in November. Sometimes it takes a number of months and a lot of cost for things like this to clear customs. So, please continue to PRAY that it will pass through customs quickly and at reasonable customs charges.
New Tribes Mission Aviation (NTMA) won’t be able to use the airstrip where the Cessna airplane is located much longer. So, please PRAY for a fruitful search for land on which to build a hangar for the helicopter.
Thanks for praying for Pulding’s baby boy who has asthma. With the occasional use of a nebulizer machine to distribute medicine to his lungs he is doing better.
Rejoicing in the Lord always,
