Our truck has been sold!\u00a0 Thanks for praying.\u00a0 The buyer left home at 3am Saturday morning with his wife, young son, his driver, and Dani, the Manubu’ Bible teacher whose yard was where our truck had been parked.\u00a0 They didn’t travel in our truck but a different vehicle.\u00a0 They arrived in the city where we were at 10:30am – just an hour before the lawyer closed for the day.<\/p>\n
After the bill of sale was completed and payment made, the buyer and companions immediately started on the return trip home.\u00a0 Dani was scheduled to be part of a Manubu’ team starting a new evangelistic outreach the next morning (Sunday) at a place we’ll call Kasil.<\/p>\n
Please *PRAY* for the new outreach at Kasil – that the people will be excited about what they are hearing, will be saved, and go on with further teaching.\u00a0 The evangelistic phase of the teaching is 42 lessons starting at Genesis 1:1 so it will take a number of weeks to teach through them.<\/p>\n
But, through those lessons they will learn who God is and his power and omniscience and omnipresence and character and holiness and our lost condition before Him and need for a savior as illustrated through substitutionary death in the Old Testament. It is always exciting to see people’s response after they have been through the OT and hear Jesus called “The lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”<\/p>\n
Luke 24:27 tells us what Jesus explained to his disciples on the road to Emmaus: “And beginning at Moses<\/em> and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all<\/em> the Scriptures the things concerning himself<\/em>.”<\/p>\n Carol just got back from walking into town from the guesthouse. On the way she tripped on something on the sidewalk and fell. Scrapped her knee, tore her trousers, and sprained her thumb.
