\/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Baby Girl McNabb Update<\/p>\n<p>Three weeks ago I went in for one last doctor\u2019s appointment before our trip to Northern Ireland for Christmas.\u00a0 However, the \u201croutine scan\u201d showed that baby girl McNabb was not growing at the rate expected, and further tests were needed.\u00a0 With a mixture of concern and disappointment, we cancelled our travel plans and proceeded to spend a number of days traveling to and from the hospital.\u00a0 All of the tests for the baby\u2019s vitals continued to show positive results and the Monday before Christmas we met again with the doctor and were relieved to hear that we wouldn\u2019t need to return until the 5<sup>th<\/sup> of January for another growth scan.<\/p>\n<p>We spent a quiet Christmas at home, enjoying the much needed reprieve and extra rest.\u00a0 There were also plenty of opportunities throughout the week to socialize with several other families (both from church and here on the NTM campus) to celebrate the birth of Christ and the New Year.<\/p>\n<p>At the midwife appointment last Wednesday, however, the measurements indicated that baby girl is still not growing sufficiently, so we went into the hospital on Friday to monitor her heart.\u00a0 She was fine, praise the Lord, but we will know more after the growth scan tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Preparation for Her Arrival<\/p>\n<p>All of these events have spurred us on to get things in order for baby girl\u2019s arrival.\u00a0 God has been amazing in His provision for us.\u00a0 The day after we started looking at prams (strollers) and car seats, a friend offered us her pram (stroller)!\u00a0 Family and friends have given us clothes, baby furniture, nappies (diapers) and more.\u00a0 We have been so blessed by the outpouring of God\u2019s love through His people.<\/p>\n<p>Another thing we have done in preparation is some good old fashioned canning.\u00a0 J\u00a0 (And when I say \u201cwe\u201d \u2013 I mean \u201cwe\u201d!\u00a0 It was definitely a team effort!)\u00a0 We canned spaghetti sauce, mince\/potato\/carrot, plain mince, Mexican seasoned mince, and beef chunks.\u00a0 This will provide quick, nutritious, and tasty meals as we try to adjust to our new life with a baby.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thanks again for all your prayers \u2013 we will do our best to keep you updated as things move along.\u00a0 We are finding ourselves quite stretched these days and sometimes our communication with you all is affected as a
