Well, it’s been over two weeks since baby Grace made her surprise arrival. \u00a0We are doing well and adjusting to life as a family. \u00a0Grace has struggled a bit with jaundice, so we have been in to the hospital a couple times to get her blood checked, but so far, there has been no need for treatment. \u00a0Thanks again to all of you who have continued to lift us before the Father in prayer.<\/p>\n
We wanted to share an update with you from the Mengen tribe in Papua New Guinea. \u00a0How amazing that these people are EAGER to hear the Gospel. Its amazing to see how these people have moved from darkness to light, there is still much darkness and still many of there people needing to hear the Gospel but Gods good news is growing as you can read below.<\/p>\n

North Coast Church plant<\/strong>:<\/p>\n Thank you each one for your prayers on behalf of the Mengen Church as they have further extended the reach of the Gospel to our north coast church plant. 8 lessons per week in two languages and primarily by just one teacher. All along the way, the interest has been very high to hear the plan of redemption with people coming continuously wanting to hear -in fact, our poor teachers hardly have had much down time as folks are\u00a0clamouring\u00a0at their door from dawn till dark and often right through the night.<\/strong>\u00a0The church plant is much closer to town and is a transient community centered in oil palm blocks, harvests and payments. This meant that 16 people faithfully attended the teaching in this village. Initially it looks like all of these folks have come to clear faith in the finished work of Christ! When one of the new believers was asked what he’d say when he stands before God and asked why he should be let into heaven, he respond so confidently and with such joy that because of his repentance and faith alone, that he\u2019d fly straight in. Another shared as his whole face lit up \u2013that he\u2019d began to put his faith in the Redeemer from the 9th<\/sup> lesson on and wondrously began to see miraculous changes in his life such as fear, shame and other things beginning to fall away.<\/p>\n The bible teachers right now are personally interviewing each listener to see where they are standing and to access what level of teaching they\u2019ll need going forward. Please pray for wisdom for our teachers to hear each heart and for stamina to finish out strong.
