Our weather has taken on a brisk feel and it is so refreshing! Some of the few trees that have a color change here in Florida are starting to turn. It is pretty to see the seasonal changes.
Our work at New Tribes Mission is continually a blessing. We love to be able to serve our members. We work on several projects as well as carry on general correspondence and phone work in our daily tasks. Often we speak with donors and other who have unique questions. Linda is verifying member dates for all of our members and working on letters of Appreciation for our past members.
We were excited to hear that Amy will be able to take a few weeks of vacation time at Christmas and come home for the Holidays! YAY! We are blessed that she is doing so well in her studies, and ministry, and that we have the technology to see her and talk with her often through Skype, Facebook, and on the phone.
Monday our Youth group is had a time for a free bowling night at a local bowling alley. We are praying that the times of interaction with these kids will be a time that we can really connect with them, and be an example of the believer to them. Many of them are dealing with BIG problems, and we praise the Lord we have a BIGGER God!! We desire to point them to HIM.
Linda’s niece is getting married this weekend in Mexico Beach Florida. Beka is a bridesmaid, and Chloe may be a flower girl! The boys are ushering. We will certainly enjoy this family time. God has provided for us to be able to have a family time with George’s family the 18-23 of October as well. We will go on a 5 day cruise to Mexico to celebrate Mom and Dad’s 55th anniversary. We are looking forward to that special time.
Our business may gain a new affiliate in Idaho soon. We are excited to have a nice family renting our rental house. God is so faithful to us and we are encouraged to see the ways He is setting out for us to be used by Him.
Thank you so much for the blessing you have been in our lives and ministry. We appreciate your care and prayer support. Please continue. We can’t do this alone. We are so thankful for the part you have on our team. Please see the prayer requests on the separate attachment. Thanks a million!
In His Strength, George and Linda Heckman

October 2010 Dear Friends, Happy Fall!
