News From Heckman\u2019s<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

On the Road Again\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 August 2011<\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hello!<\/p>\n

\u00a0 We head out again Saturday.\u00a0 We are on the road to Wisconsin by way of Northern Michigan.\u00a0 We will take a few days of vacation time before taking David on to NTBI.\u00a0 We have a couple of extra people going with us to make the trip fun!\u00a0 Angie will be heading to NTBI as well, and Tristin is coming along for fun and fellowship, and maybe some fishing!\u00a0 That gives us a full van with a roof bag on top for luggage! Please pray we have a safe trip.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 We have planned a few stops with friends we haven\u2019t seen in a long while in Wisconsin and Indiana, and perhaps Tennessee also.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 We hope to have David somewhat settled in at Bible school, and be on the road back by the 14th.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Tim\u2019s school starts August 22.\u00a0 He has been working hard the last couple of weeks doing yard work for a friend in Sanford.\u00a0 He\u2019s been working 6-8 hours a day in the Florida sunshine.\u00a0 It has been a new experience for him, but he likes it.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Beka has 1 more day of testing to finish the Paramedic course.\u00a0 Pray that she does well.\u00a0 She is planning on going with us to Michigan and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Brett and Debby and the girls were here for the weekend.\u00a0 It is always a joy to see them.\u00a0 Brett is hoping to transition to part time at his job and part time at Grace Bible Church soon.\u00a0 We are praying or this transition to work for them, as they desire to be more involved in the work of the ministry there in Palm Bay.\u00a0 Their AC went out last week, and we are thankful they got a great deal to install a new AC unit.\u00a0\u00a0 Thanks for your prayers for them.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Amy is finishing up her Spanish study.\u00a0 She should be done in December.\u00a0 She and Hector hope to come here for Christmas.\u00a0 They are praying about his visa situation, and if he should take the NTM training in the US.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 George and Linda keep busy. There is always plenty to do in Member Services and with the Youth Group!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Member Services-NTM<\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 As the leadership of NTM continues to review policy and issues within NTM,\u00a0 some of the changes they want to put into practice directly affect the membership of NTM,\u00a0 Often we have to communicate the changes to our members, and do the data entry which is made necessary by the changes.\u00a0 We continue to update ministry, account, and family history on the members of NTM.\u00a0\u00a0 We have been helping our folks as they move to retirement status, as well as those who are stepping out of NTM for new ministries or family needs.\u00a0 Pray with us that we would be sensitive to these folks, and encourage them as they move to the next step of their lives, walking with the Lord.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 We need wisdom from above daily!\u00a0 Praise the Lord He gives us that liberally when we ask.\u00a0 (James 1:5)<\/p>\n

  • Several of our youth group kids are returning to NTBI, and about 10 more are going for the first time.<\/li>\n
  • 5 kids from Youth were baptized at the beach in July.<\/li>\n
  • God is faithful and gives us work of import to do with our lives<\/li>\n
  • Our vehicles\u00a0 continue to run well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
