As we informed in our previous report, we planned to take a trip to to the south of Colombia, to the Amazon, and visit the missionary family that is there and to give Liliana a first hand experience to what could probably be our future ministry.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

It was a long trip getting there. We had\u00a0many interruptions because of highway maintainance and one hour wait\u00a0because of an accident. A bus got off\u00a0road and fell down a cliff. This event made the night time, while we were crossing the mountain rage,\u00a0the hardest part of the trip. Nevertheless, we thank God there was not much traffic and the climate was favorable.\u00a0 When we arrived we realize that\u00a0our back tire was flat because it was punctured. We got there with a flat punctured tire, without even knowing it!<\/p>\n

Thank\u00a0God we got there safe and sound. We didn\u00b4t have any problems coming back home.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Part of the road we had to cross at night. Out of the 4 landslide zones, this one is the worst. We crossed this small provisional metal bridge that was put up in September. Because of this, we decided to travel in the less rainy season.<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

We rested for a day and set off our trip on boat quickly to the small town\u00a0close to the native communities. A brother in Christ welcomed us, the head of the only evangelical church there. He provided us with a motor and a canoe to head on our trip to the communities we desired to visit.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

From\u00a0our perspective, it was a bit overwhelming thinking about leaving our comfortness to live in different conditions than what we are used to. But recognizing that our Creator is worthy, and that his desire is to rescue the souls of the people, we were filled with encouragement and were willing to obey His perfect will.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The bugs where terrible pests for us, there are no bathrooms so we had to use a “shovel and a bucket”.\u00a0 It wasn\u00b4t very comfortable to be there so it was a great challenge for us. What struck us the most was the spiritual need and desire for\u00a0God\u00b4s\u00a0Word that we saw in some of the people there.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Back home it was of great encouragement to see the Bulla family\u00b4s hope and desire to work with us;\u00a0wondering if the Lord is moving our hearts to serve with them in this part of the missionary work.<\/p>\n

We hadn\u00b4t decided whether or not we were going to work with them, but we agreed to it three days after our trip. The Lord confirmed in our hearts that we wanted to go with them, doing our best to serve as much time\u00a0as He wanted\u00a0us to, with the Bulla family, serving the people from this part of the Amazon.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

-For our move to the jungle area, that the Lord may guide us in the precise moment to do it.<\/p>\n

-For our daughter, Andrea\u00b4s\u00a0knee surgery to be held on January 4 , that it may go well. Also for her endometriosis, that the Lord may heal\u00a0her if it is His wish so she may stop being in so much pain.<\/p>\n

-For our son Miguel, that he may make the right desicion for his future.\u00a0We would like for him to come with us at least for the first year.<\/p>\n

-For our son, Daniel\u00b4s job. We give thanks for his livelihood, that God may guide and support him in his proyects for the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– For our children to stay in the Word of God, growing as disciples in the Lord and join the other Christians.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
