As we look back at the roller coaster that have been the past two years, we see circumstances that confused, frustrated, and knocked the breath out of us. But God is faithful and has a plan for His glory, and was even gracious enough to give us little glimpses through the foggy unknown. Looking back at the two failed interview attempts, the months of waiting, the moments of fear of disease, and so many other lows, bring back the strong emotions, but thankfully we don’t just see those. We are so excited to say that through some of this hardest time of our lives, we’ve met some of our best friends, had another sweet baby join our family, as well as two new sister-in-laws. God gave us special opportunities with family in Mexico, times to encourage others, ministries with the guest house, and helping new missionaries adjust and love aspects of life in Mexico, as well as learn Spanish. We listened to story after story of the hardships and joys of missionary life in the tribe. Mostly we had the opportunity to feel His peace, and run to Him for it when we didn’t feel it, through all the ups and downs. This time drew us closer to God and taught us a lot about choosing to have a good attitude and trust God, when it’s so easy to want to fight against circumstances. Check out the links below for the more detailed adventures of our last two years in Mexico. Thank the Lord with us that after about 2 years of the visa process we are here in the US ready to move on to a time of traveling before heading to the Missions Training Center, next August. Lord willing, Hector will further his missionary training, while Amy works in child care. Click the links to check out the adventures below!!
