Philippians 4:19 says, “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
While visiting with Beka and Cody, Beka and I (Amy) had some encouraging conversations about how God provides, as Hector and I look toward this time of Ministry Partnership Development, with the focus on the opportunity for people to be a part of what God is doing in Mexico by supporting us. Then when the van broke down God gave us a chance to look to Him, our Daddy, who loves to provide. He came through in a big way!
When we got the word that the van was dead, we were able to sell the it for $800, and in a matter of a bit more than a week, with savings and what God provided, we had $13,000 toward a replacement vehicle. Thank you so much for praying for us, and thanks so much to everyone who gave to help us!!! You are a blessing and we praise God for you! (Philippians 4:18) So with a budget we started searching for a vehicle.
Mexican law says that in order to import a vehicle by October next year it has to be a 2010 to 2012, with a VIN number that starts from 1 to 5, and of course if we were going to be able to use this truck in Mexico we had to be able to all fit, it has to be four wheel drive and able to pull a trailer. So with this list in mind we looked for about a week before we found a truck that was above our budget but we were able to barter and get it down to $13,000. Looking now any other used vehicle that fits these needs is twice that price, but God provided this truck for us. We are now officially owners of an awesome 2010 Toyota Tundra 4×4!! Our God is such a provider. Again, thank you so much to everyone who gave to help us and prayed! As difficult as this was, it was an encouragement to see God provide that big that fast. Now as we work on raising support we can remember who it is that can provide for the years to come.
