I am learning to believe we are loved

September 30, 2020 by Jodi

A reminder: We can trust God in the human delays.
I had something to get to a friend. I wanted to encourage her. From my end or her’s, the arrangements kept being put off. It didn’t put me out any, but as it lingered on my to do list I felt a little guilty; a little irresponsible. When I finally got over her way, do you know what day it was? It was an anniversary in her life that needed some celebrating. And I think God knew that!!
And I bet when we fear being irresponsible, we are fearing judgement.

I remember Miles J. Stanford wrote, “To be disappointed with yourself is to have believed in yourself.” and
“To believe, and to consent to be loved while unworthy, is the great secret.” (The Complete Green Letters, p 12,13)

1 John 4:18, ESV: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
