We’re certainly counting our blessings after our youngest daughter, Brynna, was involved in a car accident this morning.
Neither Brynna nor any of the other five New Tribes Mission kids she drives to school was seriously hurt — which is really all that counts – when another car plowed into the back of Brynna’s Ford LTD.
The damage to a car the size of Brynna’s makes me all the more grateful that the worst injuries were whiplash (Brynna and at least one other girl) and a bloody nose.
We’d appreciate your prayers for the aches, pains and healing for all the kids, and for Brynna, who’s still shaken up.
Please pray also because this puts us in a bit of a bind, vehicle-wise. Brynna’s car is most likely totaled; our van is in need of repairs and is not drivable; and we can’t drive our Focus in the rain (and it’s rainy season) because we need new tires.
But you know what?
I’m proud of my daughter. She insists that all her passengers wear their seat belts, and she was following at a safe distance when traffic ahead stopped.
I’m happy the kids are OK.
And I’m happy that God knows exactly where we’re at and exactly what we need.
