Ian’s been helping deal with a difficult NTM personnel issue. Of course, there’s little more that we can share about this. Pray for God’s wisdom to know the right things to do, and the strength to do them. Pray that Ian will be able to rest in God, and really know that He has everything under control.
Please pray also that we’d be able to “get away” and spend some quality time as a couple or as a family. In addition to his regular duties, Ian is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This situation arose over the Thanksgiving weekend – right after Ian said, “Wow, it’s really nice to have a few extra days to spend away from the office and with family.” Primarily for financial reasons, even though we’ve tried several times, we haven’t been able to get away as a couple or a family for years.
Please don’t misunderstand us. It’s a pleasure to be able to serve God, and Ian’s also been able to do a lot of traveling in the course of his ministry, so we’re certainly not complaining. But with this most recent situation, getting away has progressed past from being a really good idea that would enable Ian to be more effective in ministry, to being a definite need. Please pray.
