A big day for two tribes

October 3, 2007 by

Nakui believers are sharing the Good News with the Uwau people.

This is a big day for two neighboring people groups in Papua New Guinea.

Today the Uwau people will hear the first of a series of evangelistic Bible lessons. In the coming days and weeks, Bible teachers will lay a foundation for the Uwaus to have a clear understanding of the Gospel.

What makes this a special day for the Nakui people is that their Bible teachers will be presenting the lessons.

Kibo, Suse and Tuti will teach Bible lessons morning and evening for a month.

Greg Greenlaw, missionary to the Nakui people, plans to be there too, but not because they need his help anymore.

“They are completely capable teachers. My purpose in going is to keep before them the big picture of what we’re trying to do – to plant and cultivate a daughter church,” Greg wrote.

Please pray that the Uwau people will recognize and listen to the truth.
