God worked it out somehow …

November 5, 2008 by

You gotta love it when God just works things out and you can’t even figure out how He did it.

God’s been teaching me some things about giving and trusting, so when it seemed He was leading me to give to another ministry, I gave. I didn’t expect Him to almost immediately prompt me to give to another, and I hesitated to obey. OK, so two weeks of trying to avoid the subject is a little more than hesitation. But in the end, I gave again.

That left us in a rather precarious situation. We were going to Chicago for two weeks, to see supporters and friends, and I wasn’t sure how we’d pay the bills for that. But trips like that are vital to our ministry, so we went.

When we got back, I did the math. We should have been short by about the amount we gave. But we weren’t. Somehow, God provided so we can pay all the bills from that trip. I don’t understand it; that shouldn’t have worked out. But it did.

Or perhaps I should say that He worked it out. Would you take a moment to thank God with us?
