This week, you were part of challenging thousands of college students to “find your edge” – to discover and engage with the needs God puts before them.
This all happened at Liberty University, which invited Ethnos360 to be the primary sponsor for their Global Focus Week. I say you were part of that because you are our partners in ministry – thank you!
I really enjoyed my three primary tasks on the team because they stretched me and reminded me how dependent I am on God.
For the “experience” we put together for the students, I rewrote the story of one of our missionaries from Mexico, Amelia, for a series of displays. What I wrote needed to be short and full of impact for college students today. In case you didn’t notice, I am no longer of college age, so this was a task that led me to do some research and a lot of praying.
I also was responsible for assembling the schedule for an event Monday evening, and for talks and videos throughout three days in the experience. I was asked to do that because the program I put together for announcing our name change to Ethnos360 worked so well. But I must have said a hundred times, “Folks, that was God’s doing.” So I relied on Him for this one too.
And I put together the logic and the text for a “drip” series – a finite, automated email series to present the students with opportunities to engage with Ethnos360. That in itself was a first, and we also set it up so they could get it by text if they preferred. On the one hand, I’d been working on something like this for months, so I had a lot of groundwork ready when this project came up. On the other hand, I’d run into some issues that it took a team to sort out, so it was good to work through them as a team with prayer.
Thank you for partnering in our ministry so thousands of college students could be challenged to live for Christ and introduced to opportunities to engage with Ethnos360, and to help make the vision of a thriving church for every people a reality.
Please take a moment to read through and consider your opportunities to engage more deeply in our ministry.
Thanks!
Opportunities
To Pray …
Please pray that God will use each contact our team had with every student to encourage them to chase hard after Him. Pray that all of them are challenged to engage on the edge God places before them. Pray that they will see the importance of being involved in making disciples of all nations.
Please continue to pray for the people of Sulawesi. Pray that our team there is able to get aid to those who most need it. Pray for their safety as they do.
Please also continue to pray that God’s people will follow His leading to provide the funds we need to continue in this work. We’ve provided further details below.
And if you prayed, would you take a moment to encourage us by letting us know? Thanks!
To Give …
This month, we are $500 short of the funds we need for basic living expenses.
Currently, we are $500 short of the funds we need for maintenance, repair and replacement of household items.
For the year, we are $2,500 short of the funds we need to carry out our ministry effectively.
Any gift for any of those purposes will help. You can mail a check, with a note that it is a gift for the ministry of Ian and Julie Fallis, to Ethnos360, 312 W. First St., Sanford FL 32771, or you may give online.
