How are you feeling today?<\/p>\n
I’m feeling great myself. I’m over all the side-effects of malaria except for weight loss, which I’ve been working to keep, and the pinched nerve in my neck is hardly an issue at all. Even the cardiologist thinks I’m OK (now that I’ve satisfied my insurance deductible and copayment for the year).<\/p>\n
I wish all that was true for my team. (The “doing well” part, not the medical costs part.)<\/p>\n
You may remember several months back when I asked you to pray that Patrick Hatcher would be able to join our team in Communications. He has been a great help.<\/p>\n
But he’s been out for almost two weeks now. He’s been in and out of Orlando Regional Medical Center with heart problems.<\/p>\n
I also hope you remember our daughter Jackie, who is still disabled from the Lyme disease she contracted as a teenager. She is always dizzy, and has occasional really dizzy spells that are so serious that she can hardly get around or do anything.<\/p>\n
We’ve been missing her as a volunteer writer for all but one day for two weeks. She’s in one of the longest really dizzy spells she’s had in years.<\/p>\n
Considering that our writing and editing team has a total of three full-time and three part-time people, it’s been tough without them.<\/p>\n
But wait – there’s more.<\/p>\n
I’ll be out of the office for all but one day next week. Julie and I are going to meetings in Nashville, and then taking one day off. <\/p>\n
