What if they said, “Yeah, we’re going on a bike ride on Sundays, so we’re moving our meetings to Saturdays.”<\/p>\n

Do you think there would be an uproar? Do you think many would object even if the leaders felt there was a very good reason for the ride?<\/p>\n

What could be a good reason to go on a bike ride on Sunday mornings?<\/p>\n

Glad you asked.<\/p>\n

You see, a group of Manjuis in Paraguay had previously said that they didn’t want what God had to offer them. They didn’t want to hear what missionaries or Manjui believers had to say.<\/p>\n

Then they changed their minds. They wanted the Manjui believers to teach them.<\/p>\n

But they live 30 miles away from the village where the Manjui church meets. The church’s missionary couple is already living in another village and sharing God’s Word there. The only way for this group to hear, would be for the church leaders to teach them.<\/p>\n

The only way for the leaders to get to their location was by bicycle. And 30 miles — each way — on rough, dirt roads takes a lot longer than it takes to jump in your car and drive down paved roads.<\/p>\n

To top it all off, the only day this group of Manjuis has off is Sunday.<\/p>\n

So in order to answer this group’s request to hear God’s Word, the leaders decided to move the believers meetings to Saturdays, and travel and teach on Sundays.<\/p>\n

The Manjui church leaders thought this was a very good idea.<\/p>\n
