Along a different stretch of the Florida Trail last spring.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Have you ever gone looking for God?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not like I think He\u2019s hiding or anything. And He\u2019s always with you, of course, if you\u2019re His child.<\/p>\n

So why would you go looking for Him?<\/p>\n

OK, so maybe you wouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

But I do.<\/p>\n

In fact, I am.<\/p>\n

As this goes public, I am somewhere along the Florida Trail in the Ocala National Forest, backpacking.<\/p>\n

No computer. My cell phone is in my pack and turned off. No co-workers in need of my help. (At least, no co-workers in need of my help who can find me.)<\/p>\n

Just me and God.<\/p>\n

I find backpacking trips a great way to get away from all the distractions and open the Word and my heart and listen. It\u2019s a time to hear what God has to say to me, and I try to be open to hearing and applying whatever He says.<\/p>\n

Would you please pray for my family while I am away? Pray for a safe and good trip for me. And pray that I have ears to hear what God has to say, and an open heart and mind to apply it.<\/p>\n
