In October, Julie and I are going to Thailand. We\u2019d appreciate your prayers, and you have other opportunities to take part as well.<\/p>\n

Why we\u2019re going<\/h3>\n

More than 100 people groups are asking New Tribes Mission to bring God\u2019s Word to them. Just one of them consists of 13 million people with no access to a clear presentation of the Gospel.<\/p>\n

My ministry is to help people take part, so those 100-plus people groups \u2013 those millions of men, women and children living in darkness and fear \u2013 can know Jesus. My work is presenting opportunities in a way that gets people in the USA involved \u2026 which glorifies God, helps tribal people and blesses people here.<\/p>\n

How many people do you think are aware of opportunities like this? Not enough, I\u2019d say.<\/p>\n

I can do much of my work from an office in Florida.<\/p>\n

But I also need to get out where the stories are, conducting interviews, gathering video, taking photos. I need someone to assist me, and there\u2019s no better person to do that than my wife, who has been by my side for 30 years and with me in ministry for a dozen years. And we need photo and video equipment to bring stories home.<\/p>\n

What we\u2019ll be doing<\/h3>\n

We\u2019ll conduct brief video interviews. Missionaries will answer questions like, \u201cWhat fear almost kept you from being a missionary?\u201d We\u2019ll ask tribal believers questions like, \u201cHow has your life changed since you met Jesus?\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll get photos from tribal settings. Our team has few photos from Thailand, let alone photos suitable for posters and displays. Photos bring stories to life.<\/p>\n

And we\u2019ll gather stories that could find their way into NTM\u2019s magazine, the new NTM website (coming soon!), short films, radio spots, podcasts and more.<\/p>\n

A gift toward our trip would be very timely. We\u2019ve cut the estimated costs of our trip from $9,195 to $8,000. All but half of that is already taken care of. Our main need today is equipment, which is an investment in the future. We\u2019ll be traveling more \u2013 our youngest child graduates from high school next spring \u2013 and we\u2019d like to purchase equipment that will meet our needs for this trip and others for at least two or three years.<\/p>\n
