Fresh bread!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The loud calls of the woman in the street came right through the walls of the house where Phil Henderson and some Mwinika men were translating Bible passages in preparation for teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Then a potential buyer started calling back and forth with her, sounding out price and quality and quantity. The concentration was broken, and they stalled in John Chapter 6.<\/p>\n<p>But one of the men pointed back to a verse they had just translated: \u201cI am the bread of life.\u201d (John 6:35)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCome on,\u201d he said. \u201cLet\u2019s get back to work. She is just selling bread that doesn\u2019t last.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bible teaching began this month among the Mwinika people. So this came from a man who has yet to get the opportunity to place his faith in Christ. But his priorities were straight.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty of stuff that doesn\u2019t last calling out for our attention.
