I dug down and added planting mix. I weeded again. And then I mulched. I weeded once more, and I added more mulch.<\/p>\n<p>Now, weeding is easy. Only a few weeds break the surface, and they have long, spindly roots that make it easy to pull them out.<\/p>\n<p>You see, I don\u2019t intend to waste time pulling weeds. And you shouldn\u2019t either. So let\u2019s not just mulch our gardens. Let\u2019s mulch our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s do our best to clear the sin out of our lives, but let\u2019s focus on laying down a big, thick bed of reading God\u2019s Word, studying it and memorizing it; and of prayer, generosity, worship, service and discipling others. When we do that, sin has a harder time getting down into the dirt of our lives and taking root. And when it does, it\u2019s easier to pull it out.<\/p>\n<p>So go mulch yourself.<\/p>\n<h2>Opportunities to \u2026<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pray:<\/strong> Praying for others helps mulch you too, so here you go. Thank you for continuing to pray for our son Evan, injured in a serious skiing accident while with his Army unit on January 4. He is back on duty full time, but still has headaches when he works out hard. Pray they will continue to be less severe.
