Who ever heard of running a walk-in cooler with an Air conditioner?? It is crazy how God provides and uses complete strangers to make everything come together so that we can host conferences and challenge students for God’s glory here in Papua New Guinea! After hearing the price tag that the only refrigeration company in PNG put on repairing our completely fried walk-in cooler, Janie (co-worker), searched the internet in hopes of another alternative. When we first heard about it, we were a little leery… sounded like one of those things that is too good to be true. But we are rejoicing now, or at least Beth is. 🙂 A “Coolbot” attaches to a normal air conditioning unit to turn an insulated sealed room into a refrigerator with just a few pushes of a button! It is working beautifully! Another reminder of God’s wonderful timing…. We cater for 200 people next week!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time away for 10 days in February relaxing by the ocean, reading, swimming, snorkeling, and eating lots of fresh fish. 🙂 We definitely needed to get away to Madang region after this last crazy busy year. We are greatly encouraged with all God is doing here at Interface amongst the staff as He unites us in ways we couldn’t even imagine. We are excited for what God has next for us as a team, here at Interface! Our new co-workers have been hard at work as Jacob has stepped out of the workshop in order to finish his Language and Culture study. He is thankful for this time to focus on getting to know the people that live around us. He is having fun helping people plant coffee trees, banana trees and we even planted some mandarin trees of our own, all while he is learning the language. But he is also looking forward to working with Pete in the shop finally in May… as soon as Pete finished language study, Jacob was able to start so they are looking forward to working together for the first time!
Beth is very excited about being able to help the missionaries at our NTM Center by catering a few meals so they can relax and enjoy their conference… of course having a brand new walk-in cooler is always exciting! After our catering event Beth will be teaching the financial secretary job to a co-worker and working on menus, food orders and food portions for our summer programs. Jacob will be busy hanging out with the people in the village, learning culture and language, studying hard so that he can get back to work in the workshop by May.
Thank you all for being a part of our ministry through your prayers…. It is hard to describe how God answered your prayers over the last few weeks, but it was so amazing to be a part of!!

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, through it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.” Ephesians 4:14-21
