The students are having a once in a lifetime experience this weekend as they visit a Tribal village church, witness the baptism of many national believers and stay overnight in some of the believers homes! We are excited to hear all about their experiences when they arrive back to Interface today!! We have heard that there was hundreds of people at the baptism! Please pray for them as they take in all they have seen and process the greatness of all God is doing through so many people here in Papua New Guinea! We are excited to have such a great group of students that are so hungry for God and His work in missions!
Thank you all for your continued prayers! We have felt your prayers as we walk with God each day, serving as He would have us serve. Some days are crazy busy and some days are just busy and so we know that God is working through us to give us the strength we need each hour of the day. Otherwise we know for sure that we wouldn’t be here! It has been neat to see how God is working through our new staff body and how He is teaching us all as we serve the students and allow God to use us in their lives. We want to be diligent with our time while the students are here because they are only in Papua New Guinea for a short time learning about missions. We pray that this trip will allow them to continue growing in their relationship with God and give them direction in their lives.
Beth has been cooking up lots of yummy food for the students and staff. It has been great to see how God has provided the help needed in the kitchen! She has a couple of great girls that have huge hearts to serve! And before they arrived Lena was able to come out once again from our NTM Center! And we had one of our German Alumni interns return with his wife to help out in the kitchen as well! It is always fun to see our Alumni again and find out how God has worked in their lives over the years since they have been here! It is also fun to have a couple of the Missionary kids helping out every few days as well!
Jacob is in charge of the security here on campus during program, training staff and interns to set up security and monitor security. We have national men that look out over our campus whenever we have Interface programs and conferences. Jacob is also busy in the workshop getting vehicles ready for student trips, overseeing work projects for our Intern guys and fixing whatever needs fixin’. He also has a great time interacting with the students while playing volleyball!
In our last brief May update we talked about heading to Lae for supplies. Thanks for praying! All went well and we came back with some much needed food supplies for the summer as well as some much needed parts for workshop tools. After hearing that the only sugar producing company was running out of sugar, Beth was quite happy to find 160 kgs of sugar in Lae, this will get us through the summer. 🙂 Plus we had a fun time traveling and getting out to another area of PNG! Check out our pictures on our blog!
We also wanted to update you on our need for a replacement cook for Beth. There are people interested and they are now applying for our NTM Associate program!! The Peachy family and Anna are in the process of seeing what God has as they start the paperwork to head over. So we shall see what God does! Please also pray for Elissa. She plans to head over here in January 2012 as the assistant cook but she is still dealing with health issues. Pray for God’s healing of her kidneys!!
